She was predeceased by: her husband Reginald Vermette; her stepsons, Michael Vardy and Jimmy Keenan; and her siblings, Yvette Rouleau (late Jacques), Lena Chouinard (late Rosco), Maurice "Ben" Moore (late Phyllis), Gordon and Norman Moore.
She is survived by: her daughter Elaine Vermette; her stepchildren, Ivan Keenan, Robert Keenan (Angie) and Louise Vermette; her grandchildren, Adrianna Lafond (Andre Shank), Dylan Ducharme and Tristan Ducharme; and her siblings, Elizabeth McLeod (late Sam) and Stanley Moore (Leona). She is also survived by step-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; extended family; and dear friends.
A burial was held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Union Cemetery (365 King St, Sturgeon Falls, ON P2B3G3).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Gladys's memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or the Humane Society.
