She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Etmanski and Noella Etmanski. She is survived by: her husband Murray Ackerland; and her siblings, Debra Etmanski-Simpson, Timothy (Jo-Anne), Gail Etmanski-Shank (Gilles), Wayne Etmanski, Glen Etmanski and Karen Lacourciere (Shane).
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in memory of Jo-Ann to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice, North Bay or the Kipling Baptiste Church.
