With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Laken Roy (Sturgeon Falls, Ontario), who passed away on January 8, 2026 at the age of 39. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Laken departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Laken may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Laken leaves behind.
She is survived by: her parents, Gail McLeod (Jeff) and Allan Penasse (Cindy); and her pet Maybe. She is also survived by her many aunts, uncles, cousins.
