He was predeceased by: his parents, Josephat Roy and Eloisia; his wife Lisette Roy; and his siblings, Roland, Fleurette, Yollande, Jeanne and Marie.

He is survived by: his children, Stella Guénette (Yves), Jo-Anne Roy (Louis), Michel Gagne (Shirley), Michelle Lalonde (Bill) and Suzanne Roy; his grandchildren, André-Yves, Ghislain, Jean-François, Sylvie, Josée, Daniel, Christian, Aaron and Jason; his great grandchildren, Alexandre, Maxime, Esmée, Claude, Colton, Harper, Travis, Deegan, Addison, Marissa, Renée, Olivia and Alec; and his sister Pauline Newland (Bill).
