He is survived by: his wife Tellervo Erkila; his children, Derek Erkkilä (Gem) of Nairobi, Kenya, Marita Erkila (Giovanni Ciddio) of Sudbury, ON, Kristen Erkila (Jeffrey Whissell) of Sudbury, ON, Markus Erkkilä (Jana) of Kaskinen and Finland; his grandchildren, Kai, Anja and Mika; and his siblings, Ruth Calyn (late Michael) of Chatham, ON, Linda Reid (Randy) of Sault Ste, Marie and Roy Erkila (Shirley) of Sudbury, ON.. He is also survived by his family and friends.
