Ann Zakem Obituary

Ann Zakem (Weight) passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 7, 2022 at the age of 78. She is predeceased by her husband Robbie (2017). Ann is survived by her loving daughter Cathy Bedford, her siblings Frances Caldarelli (Jack), Valerie Brill (Bob), Bob Weight (Lois), Susan Presenza (Nino) and many nieces and nephews. Ann worked for the City of Sudbury for many years, lastly at Sudbury Transit. She was a volunteer for the Elisabeth Fry Society and a friend to many.

At Pioneer Manor, Ann was a member of the choir, took part in training videos and was an active member of the residents' council. The family is enormously grateful to the staff at Pioneer Manor for 4 years of exceptional care and are especially grateful to PSW's Tanya and Chantal.

As per Ann's wishes, there will be no funeral service. Cremation services provided by Simple Wishes of the North, Sudbury. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Elgin Street Mission would be appreciated.
