It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Anna Lagges (Sudbury, Ontario), who passed away at the age of 91, on November 2, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her daughter Joyce Zoe Lagges; her parents, Periklis A. Vlachakis and Foteini P. Vlachaki; and her siblings, Anastasios Vlachakis, Georgios Vlachakis (Afrodite), Vangelis Vlachakis and Despina Vlachakis.
She is survived by: her husband Nicholas Lagges; her son Panagiotis "Peter" Lagges (Michelle); her grandchildren, Nicholas Anthony Lagges and Julia Zoe Lagges; her sibling Stavroula Kanavaros (late Dimitrios); and her granddaughter Anna. She is also survived by her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, and beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home (233 Larch St, Greater Sudbury, ON P3E3E1). A prayer was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church (486 Ester St, Greater Sudbury, ON P3E5C4).
Flowers are welcome and donations to St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church or the Alzheimer Society would also be appreciated.
