He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Richer and Albertine Richer (Larabie); and his siblings, Rolland Richer (Betty Grenier), René Richer (Gladys Castonguay), Aurèl Richer (Pauline Proulx), Aimé Richer (Marilyn Lagacé) and Caroline (Robert McFarland).

He is survived by: his wife Rachel Richer; his sons, Michel Richer (Denise) and Normand Richer (Braedon Toutant); his granddaughters, Danielle (Leon Graumans), Corine (Gladimy St-Germain) and Francine (René Lavergne); and his siblings, Fernand Richer (late Kay), William Richer (Rita Bianco) and Adrienne Richer (Jean Claude Charon). He is also survived by his family, relatives, and friends.
