She is survived by: her sons, John (Susan), David (late Joan) and Douglas (Wanda); her grandchildren, Courtney, Craig, Evan, Cory, Danielle Loughrey, Andrew Dreika and Meagan Wills; her mother Lillian Gies; and her siblings, Sally Beute, Noella Latimer and Jim Gies.
