He was predeceased by: his sons, Michael, Richard and Robert; his parents, Michael Karchie and Anne Karchie (Smud); and his siblings, James (Noella), David (Claudette) and Doreen Morin (Gerald).
He is survived by: his wife Micheline Karchie (Gratton); his grandchildren, Buffy-Lynn, Jeff, Jennifer Lynn (Eric), Jessica, Chelsie (Mitchell), Jesse and Kyle (Danica); and his great grandchildren, Maverick, Scarlett and Tessa. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Gabriel's Villa would be appreciated.
