With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Catherine Ann Jaas (Sudbury, Ontario), born in Copper Cliff, Ontario, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 16, 2024 at the age of 83. In the sacred silence of farewell, Catherine Ann is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Catherine Ann's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Helene Corless and Ross Corless; and her brother John. She is survived by : her brother Jim (Judy); her husband Ilmar; her children, Cynthia (Dale) and James (Sabine); and her grandchildren, Brittany and Aaron.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 23rd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home (233 Larch St, Greater Sudbury, ON P3E3E1). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Ascension (1476 Sparks St, Greater Sudbury, ON P3A2E1).
