He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Mainville and Eva (Lavigne); and his siblings, Ernest (late Mianne), Roger (late Rita), Estelle Bélanger (late Roger), Martial (late Chrystine), Noé (late Jeannette) and Conrad (Shirley).

He is survived by: his wife Rolande (Poulin); his children, Denis Mainville (Joanne Daoust), Lorraine Mainville (Dan Boulard) and Linda Lamarche (Rob); and his siblings, Ernestine Bolen (late Nick), Roma (Cécile), Jean-Bruno (Marceline) and Florian (Jenny). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
