He was loved and cherished by many people including: his sons, Curtis and John Michaels; his father Vincent; his parents-in-law, Gabriel and Agnes Simon Mishibinijima; his grandparents, David Lavallee, Norman Neshawa and Julia Trudeau; his wife Valerie "Val"; his children, David Jr. (Ashley) and Kaithlyn (Kyle); his grandchildren, Clohee, Alaya, Bentley, Elizabeth, Michael and Jaxson; his siblings, Sandra, Jackie (Darren), Mingo, Monica (Wayne), Mary Elizabeth (Chris), Lynette (Aaron), Valentina, Eddie (Candy) and Sonya; his siblings-in-law, Godfrey Shawanda (Virginia), Philip Roy (Sandy), Rozina Lavallee (late Joseph), Eugene Simon, Howard Simon, Francis Simon (Laurie-Anne), Malcolm Simon, Mary (late Edward), Diane (Robert Holmes) and Terry Bennett; his godparents, Clara Trudeau and Raymond Peltier; his godchildren, Sonny Wemigwans, Christopher Jackson, Jolene Pitawankwat, Vanessa Lavallee and Gabriel Trudeau; and his grandmother Julia Osawabine Wemigwans (Lavallee). He was also cherished by his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
