He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Elizabeth "Liz" Delphia Gates; his children, Bruce (Monica) and Lynn (Leo); his grandchildren, Craig (Stephanie), Sarah (Matt), Lyle Gates (Anisa) and Megan Leah Allore; his great-grandparent Liam Gates; his parents, Parnell Gates and Leah Gates; his brother Arthur (Sandra); his niece Cherie of Stoney Plain; and his grandfather Willard Gates of New Ross.
