She was predeceased by: her husband George Tyrkos; her parents, Stavros (Alexandra Christakos) and Laconia; and her siblings, Antonios Christakos, Georgina Danakas (late Gus), Vasilis Christakos (Dina) of Greece and Constantino Christakos Julia (late Polixeni).
She is survived by: her children, Anna Tyrkos (Marty) and Stamatios "Mike" Tyrkos; and her brother-in-law Panagiotis "Peter" Tyrkos (Haralambia) of Toronto.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 22nd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home (233 Larch St, Greater Sudbury, ON P3E3E1). A prayer was held on Sunday, February 22nd 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Monday, February 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church (486 Ester Road, Sudbury, ON P3C4C8).
