He was predeceased by: his wife Diane Malette; his parents, Mathias Malette and Mathilda Malette; his son André; and his siblings, Ray (Eileen), Laurette (late Gerard), Denise (late Constant) and Gisele (late Pete).

He is survived by: his children, Marc Malette, Richard Malette and Liane Blouin; his grandchildren, Siana and Jacob; and his sister Marge (late Len).
