With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Douglas Marr of Sudbury, Ontario, born in Scotland, Ontario, who passed away on May 31, 2020 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Marr and Saxon Marr. He is survived by: his wife Sadie; his children, Gail Moggy (Bob), Iona Seaman (Rich) and Stewart Marr (Amanda); his grandchildren, Prudence, Jude, Maxwell Moggy, Blake, Mia Solomon, Kali Seaman, Rebecca Charrette-Seaman, Lucas and Sloane Marr; and his brother Alistair. He is also survived by his brothers- and sisters-in law, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations to North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation for children's mental health would be greatly appreciated by the family.

“Hi. My name is Paul Fairman and I used to be a student of his in the gym at Laurentian University. He taught my brother and me the basic concepts of powerlifting, and although I never achieved his ability at it, his teachings stick with me today. I still use the same teachings he taught me and my brother. He has made a significant impact in my life as well, and I really would like to express by sincere condolences to his passing.
