Edgar Pharand Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 28, 2026, at the age of 74, Edgar Pharand (Sudbury, Ontario) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Jocelyne Pharand; his daughters, Christine Regan (Jonathan), Nancy Granthien (Ian), Melanie Vandeligt (Jacob) and Monique Boucha (Tim); his grandchildren, Brennan, Tyler, Joshua, Chloe, Alyssa, Emma, Francine and Henry; his parents, Adrien Pharand and Agnes Pharand; his brothers, Philip (Crystal) and Denis; and his siblings-in-law, David (Tanya) and Venessa (Brian). He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 8th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Lougheed Funeral Home (4605 Michelle Dr, Hanmer, ON P3P1L6). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Ste. Marguerite D'Youville Church (4290 Old Hwy 69, Val Therese, ON P3P1S7).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada would be appreciated (by cheque only in person or online).
