He was predeceased by: his son Kai; and his siblings, Tauno, Edwin, Helle, Arvo, Anja and Sulo.

He is survived by: his wife Raija Aulikki; his sons, Harry (Inga), Ray (Tammy) and Mike; his grandchildren, Jari (Tania), Jouni Ari (Jessica), Henna, Calen, Tiia and Maili; his great grandchildren, Jordan and Brady; his siblings, Impi and Valde; and also Sudbury.
