George Demers Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Demers (Sudbury, Ontario), born in Verner, Ontario, who passed away on May 28, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lionel Demers and Jeannette Demers; and his brothers, Gaston, Jacques (late Ghislaine) and André (Suzanne Roberge).

He is survived by: his wife Pauline; his sons, Marc (Roxie) and Paul (Christine Hogarth); his grandchildren, Sarah, Bryanne and Janie; his siblings, Madeleine Henri, Thérèse Demers, Pauline Whissel (Raymond), Monique Bergeron, Nicole Demers, Suzanne Brown (John), Claude (Germaine), Gérard, Bernard (Michelle), Ronald (Claire) and Normand (Debbie); and his siblings-in-law, André Girard, Suzanne Fortier (Robert) and Louise Larocque (Gerry). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation in George's name.
