The memory of Gerard Rene Derouin in Sudbury, Ontario, born in Pembroke, Ontario, who passed away on October 9, 2025 at the age of 78, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Derouin and René Derouin; his significant other Judith; his son Kevin Derouin; and his siblings, Donald Derouin and Mary Fournier (late Ron).
He is survived by: his children, Mark Derouin (Kathy), Laura Therrien (Chris), Traci Richardson (Lawrence), Pamella Key (Steve) and Matthew Derouin (Cristina); and his sister Elizabeth Temple (late Paul). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Calendrier Forrest & Taylor Funeral Home (20846 Dalton Rd, Sutton West, ON L0E1R0). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (20916 Dalton Rd, Georgina, ON L0E1R0).
In lieu of flowers, the family offers the option of donating in Gerry's memory to either the Georgina Community Food Pantry or the Southlake Health Foundation's Regional Cardiac Program.
