He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincenzo and Léonilda; his former wife Shirley; and his brother Eddie. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Rivera; his children, Janice Atkinson (Dean), Robert Pollesel (Claire) and Brenda Pollesel; his grandchildren, Lindsey Baram (Sam), Robbie Pollesel (Tasha), Carter Atkinson (Ashton) and Wade Pollesel; and his great grandchildren, Mason, Ari, Nora, Ayla and Charlotte. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and his cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gino may be made to the Cancer Society or the Fatima Center (452 Kraft Rd, Fort Erie, On, L2A 4M7).
