Giovanni Tripodi Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Giovanni Tripodi (Sudbury, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 18, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carmelo and Annunciata. He is survived by: his wife Mary (Pina); his sons, Carmen (Nancy), Basilio (Rosemary) and Lorenzo (Kathleen); and his grandchildren, John, Michael, Mary, Matthew, Anthony, Maggie, Jonathan and Angela. He is also survived by his extended family, including brothers- and sisters-in-laws, many nieces and nephews, and lifelong friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home (233 Larch St, Greater Sudbury, ON P3E3E1). A prayer will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 4:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Andrew the Apostle Church (1250 Barry Downe Rd, Sudbury, ON P3A3V7).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Maison McCulloch Hospice, Northern Cancer Fund (Health Sciences North Foundation), or Ronald McDonald House Charities in John's memory.
