He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Phillips and Margaret Lillian Phillips; and his siblings, Garnet Phillips (Louise) and Marie Hanson. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Phillips (Beare); his children, Andrew and Tara Phillips (Donat); his grandchildren, Logan and Kiara Larocque (Max); his parents-in-law, James and Elsie Beare; his brother Don Phillips (Evelyn); his siblings-in-law, Cameron Beare (Julie) and Nedine Lair (Mark); and his friends, Ron, Brian, Rick and Barry.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation and Maison McCulloch Hospice.
