He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilhelm Roy and Erna Roy; and his brothers, Richard of Kitchener, Gerhard (Elvira) of Germany and Kurt (Dagmar) of Germany.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sheila Ripley (Mark) and Sandra Laporte (Dave); his grandchildren, Pam (Adam), Mike (Brooke), Scott, Benjamin (Victoria) and Derek (Brittany); his great grandchildren, Peyton, Parker, Mya, Mavi, Theo and Viola; his nieces, Carola Roy (Thomas) and Sonja Roy (Richard); and his nephew Karsten Roy.
