Irene Francis Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Irene Francis (Sudbury, Ontario), who passed away on August 11, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her son Peter Francis; her parents, William Collin and Cecile Collin Rathwell; her stepfather Albert Rathwell; and her siblings, Armand Collin, Lillian Deschene and Yvette Stanton.
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Wilma Scott Francis; her grandchildren, Jessica Fletcher (Kevin), Gregory Francis (Lindsey) and Emily Deiter (Jess); her great grandchildren, Cason Fletcher, Benjamin and Corbin Francis; her siblings, Evelyn McColeman (late Angus), Jocelyn Rathwell and Jacques Rathwell (Linda); and her stepdaughter Donna Guy-Francis. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, September 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Redeemer Church (1887 Bancroft Drive, Sudbury, ON P3B1S7).
