We are sad to announce that on February 9, 2023, at the age of 71, James Joseph André McAlister (Sudbury, Ontario) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Curtis McAlister and Gertrude Lillian McAlister; and his sister Mary. He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Rachel (Michael), Rebecca (Patrick Sr.), Heather (Joel) and Graham; and his grandchildren, Paige, Genevieve, Patrick Jr. and Isabella-Rose.
In lieu of flowers, a fund has been set up in Dr. McAlister's name at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine to recruit and retain physicians in rural, remote locations in the North.
