He is survived by: his child Qorban Byers (Mary-Elizabeth); his grandsons, Benaiah, Nathanael and Aaron; his sisters, Deborah Byers (Ron Matthews), Kathryn Simard (Claude), Nancy Byers (Rob Dallaire) and Samantha Byers; his nephew David Dallaire (Rachel); and his niece Jacquelyn Rheaume (Dan).
