He was predeceased by: his wife Irene; his children, Dennis Wilson and Kim Morel (Ron); his grandchildren, Steven, Stacey (Jordan), Jaiden, Ryder, Cohen and Olivia; his parents, Norman McRae and Vera McRae; and his great-nephew Mason.

He is survived by: his sister Jean Trottier (late Pete); his nephews, Dennis, Richard, Michael and Peter (Anna); and his great-nephew Alex.
