He is survived by: his wife Linda of Lahti's Esso; his sons, Shane (Linda) and Christopher (Amanda); his grandchildren, Tyson, Cameron, Rachel and Henry; his siblings, Maria Kirkwood (Robert), Peter Hakala (Katrina) and Nancy Rose (Mark); and his nieces and nephews, Kim, Vicky, Robby (Andrew), Alex (Kiara), Tiffany (John), Kristina (Alex), Andre and Nicole.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Maison McCulloch Hospice in John's name.
