He was predeceased by: his parents, Irene Varpio and Voldemar Varpio; and his brother-in-law Richard (Susan). He is survived by: his wife Alice-Mae Clarke; his son Michael (Tasha); his grandchildren, Annie, Alex and John; his children, Lara (Johan Larsson), Andrew and Marcus; his brother Martti; his nephews, Ken (Julie) and Jim (Renee); and his brothers-in-law, John (Nadia) and Walter (Evelyn).
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home (233 Larch St, Greater Sudbury, ON P3E3E1). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Church of the Epiphany (85 Larch St, Greater Sudbury, ON P3E1B8).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the McCulloch Hospice or the Church of the Epiphany would be appreciated.
