He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Christina (Shane) and James (Monica); his grandchildren, Oscar, William Landry-Saari, Serenity Leah Landry-Saari and Felix Winston Landry-Saari; his parents, Kalevi Saari and Marja Saari (Makynen); and his siblings, Kari (Cecile) and Klaus (Nicole). He was also cherished by loving nieces and nephews.
