He was predeceased by: his parents, Fidèle Bélanger and Rose Lévesque; his wife Claire Bélanger; and his siblings, Armand (late Lilianne), Léonard "Papou" and Jeannine.

He is survived by: his children, Diane Bertrand (Bert), Rachel Bélanger and Jo-Anne Bélanger; his grandchildren, Michelle Gervais (Robert), Justin Michaud, Jennifer Bertrand, Albert Bertrand Jr. and Angel Baby Amanda; his great grandchildren, Jacob Gervais and Sébastien Gervais; his stepgreat-grandsons, Eric, Vincent and Spencer Bertrand; his sisters, Simone Labranche (late Jean) and Réjeanne Grondin; his son Richard Blake; and his close friend Dot Taillefer. He is also survived by in-laws, nephews, and nieces.

Due to pandemic conditions, a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
