He was predeceased by: his father Ernest; his siblings, Oscar (Patricia), Lorraine, Hector (Carmen) and Irene Melanson (Cyrille); and his sister-in-law Jeannette Lalande (Jean-Claude).
He is survived by: his wife Carmen (Regimbal); his children, Lisa and Denis; his sons-in-law, Richard Scott and Aiden Scott; his siblings, Henri (late Jeannine), Roger, Joyce and René (Dianne); and his siblings-in-law, Claire Lachance (Sylvio), Gerry Regimbal (Carmen), Diane Lamoureux (Claude), Rolly Regimbal (Mabel) and Sue Maillet (Bob). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions in Leonard's memory may be made to the Northern Cancer Foundation.
