It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Marilyn Petrin (Sudbury, Ontario), born in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, who passed away at the age of 86, on April 15, 2022. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothy McNaughton and Alonzo McPhee; her husband Raymond Petrin; her sister Maxine Butts (late Buck); and her siblings-in-law, Herb Petrin and Joyce Birnie (late Jim).
She is survived by: her children, Jim (Mary), Gary (Sheila) and Wendy (John); her grandchildren, Dylan Petrin, Neil Petrin (Lauren), Aaron Petrin (Karla), Kirk Petrin (Kari), Jamie Petrin-Griffiths (Kyle) and Curtis Martin; and her great grandchildren, AJ and Natalie Griffiths. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Although she struggled with dementia in her last years and the pandemic kept us from seeing her as often as we would have liked, her eyes would light up any time she saw her beloved family and when she heard one of the tunes she loved to sing.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Gabriel's Villa would be appreciated.
