She was predeceased by: her spouse Olavi Laasanen; her parents, Kalle Valimaa and Helvi Valimaa; her stepmother Lily; and her brother Mark (late Gert).
She is survived by: her brother Mike (Tuula); her sons, Paul, David (Andrea) and John (Tiffany); her grandchildren, Lena, Oliver and Catherine; and her friends, Kankaanpaas, Valtonens, Alanens, Nykanens, Koskelas, Ihanders, Tuhkasaaris and Liinamaas.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Northern Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
