She was predeceased by: her parents, John Marchycha and Pearl Marchycha (Piankowsky); her husband Walter Cherney; and her brother Walter Marchycha (Claire). She is survived by: her children, David (Nancy) and Dianne Furchner (Bob); her grandchildren, Jasmin Richter (Derek), Jason Cherney (Odessa), Sarah Furchner (Alex) and Amelia Furchner; her great grandchildren, Jake, Tess, Brinleigh, Graham and Quinn; and her sisters, Emily Bohach (late Bill) and Betty Statz (late Howard).

In memory of Mary's quiet strength and kindness, the family suggests that donations be made to the Arthritis Society.
