With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Somers of Sudbury, Ontario, who passed away on April 15, 2023 at the age of 102. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Nick Babiuk and Pearl Babiuk (Bunka); and her siblings, Anne, Nellie, Metro, Peter, Melina, Bill and Mike.

She is survived by: her husband James "Red" Somers; her sister Rose; her children, Violet Wickenden (late Gord), Sharon Somers and Jim Somers Jr. (Marilyn); and her grandchildren, Tracey (Dave), David (Tina), Kristy (Michael), Christopher (Melissa), Janet (Dan) and Matthew (Erin).

In lieu of flowers donations to the Lansing Avenue Baptist Chapel or the Infant Food Bank would be appreciated.
