He was predeceased by: his child Marjatta; his parents, Jalmari Peura and Toini Peura; and his brother Emill (Anna). He is survived by: his spouse Aili Peura (Voutila); his children, Markku (Kim) and Kari (Tracy); his sibling Risto (Tuula); and his sibling's children, Sirkka (Mark Laberge), Tuulikki Knight (Don Brickett), Hilkka (late Ernie Taylor) and Matti.
