With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Melvin Ojala (Sudbury, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 3, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Martti Ojala and Martha Ojala; his sister Marlyn Webster (Kenneth); and his nieces, Lynn Grishko (Michael) and Nancy Webster.
He is survived by: his niece Penny Webster; his great-nephews, Trevor Brown and Tyler Brown; his nephew Ken Webster (Laura); his great-nephew Derrick Webster (Emily Bylow); and his friend George Zedek.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Lougheed Funeral Home (252 Regent St, Greater Sudbury, ON P3C4C8). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Sudbury Developmental Services, "Maple Care Home" would be appreciated.
