He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Scharf and Evelyn Scharf (Jessup). He is survived by: his wife Joanne (Chartrand); his children, Jennifer Crowder (Eric), Jeffery Scharf (Lisa) and Jessica Niemi (Luke); his grandchildren, Bray, Max, Cole, Elliana, Jeremy, Jovie, Judd, Lillian and Jonah; and his brothers, Thomas (Marianne), Ted (Anne) and Raymond Scharf (Joy).
