He was predeceased by: his parents, Toussaint Chartrand and Juliette Burmaster; and his siblings, Jeannette Chartrand, Liliane Freisting, Ronald (Carole Frappier) and Léo.

He is survived by: his goddaughter Carol Vaillant; his niece Anne Chartrand; his nephew Patrick; his great-niece Nicole Vizza; and his great-nephew Josh Vaillant. He is also survived by many relatives and friends.
