She was predeceased by: her husband Glen Laing; her parents, Thomas Hackford and Verna Hackford; and her siblings, Anne, Thomas, Joyce, Verna, Earl and Joan.
She is survived by: her children, Ian Laing and Cathy Paavola (Timo); her grandchildren, Melanie Paavola (Dylan) and Stuart Paavola (Keli); and her great grandchild Zander Wilson.
