Nicholas Lagges Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nicholas Lagges (Sudbury, Ontario), who passed away on January 2, 2026, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Nicholas Lagges to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his wife Anna Lagges; his daughter Joyce Zoe Lagges; his sibling Constandina Zervakos (late Panayioti); and his parents, Yiannis Lagges and Zoe Lagges.
He is survived by: his son Panagiotis (Peter); his grandchildren, Nicholas Anthony Lagges and Julia Zoe Lagges; his siblings, Politimi Chipouras (late Christos Chipouras), Dimitri (Christina Lagges), Kyriakos (Marianthi Lagges), Eleni (George Roumanes) and Maria (Petros Iltsopoulos); and his uncle Gus. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, and beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 9th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home (233 Larch St, Greater Sudbury, ON P3E3E1). A prayer was held on Friday, January 9th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church (486 Ester St, Greater Sudbury, ON P3E5C4).
