He was predeceased by: his parents, Garnet Durling and Vina Durling; his wife Nancy Durling; his son Donald; and his siblings, Dorothy (Dan Rimmington), Byron (Patricia) and Vera (Bill Hatton).

He is survived by: his children, Dan, Darren (Lise), Gary (Heidi), Brenda and Greg (Roxanne); his grandchildren, Lana, Mallory, Brent, Michelle, Melanie, Angie, Somerleigh and Brandon; and his siblings, Warren (late Odette), Ronnie (late Irene) and Ellard (late Joanne). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
