He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Portelance and Therese Portelance (Menard); and his siblings, Claude, Lucien, Fern, Berthe, Dorothée, Sylvia, Jeannette and Liliane.
He is survived by: his wife Denyse Portelance (Cloutier); his children, Daniel (Lilianne) and Michèle; his grandchildren, Nikola, Joël, Jérémie, Kaylee-Rose and Myriam; and his sisters, Yvette Bourque, Jacqueline Bergeron, Denise Godin and Collette Breton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated.
