He was predeceased by: his parents, Vieno Salo and Toivo Salo of Beaver Lake; and also, Sulo, William, Paul (Alverne), Elsie (Paul) and Norman.
He is survived by: his spouse Hilkka; his daughter Cindy (Dave Pilkey) of Sudbury; his grandchildren, Carrie (Nathan) and Mallory (Ben); and his nieces and nephews, Donna, Brian, Angie, Samantha and Leslie. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home (233 Larch St, Greater Sudbury, ON P3E3E1). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the R. J. Barnard Chapel (233 Larch St, Greater Sudbury, ON P3E3E1).
