He was predeceased by: his parents, Vieno Salo and Toivo Salo of Beaver Lake; and also, Sulo, William, Paul (Alverne), Elsie (Paul) and Norman.
He is survived by: his spouse Hilkka; his daughter Cindy (Dave Pilkey) of Sudbury; his grandchildren, Carrie (Nathan) and Mallory (Ben); and his sibling's children, Donna, Brian, Angie, Samantha and Leslie. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
