We are sad to announce that on September 17, 2025, Rina Read in Sudbury, Ontario passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Chevrette and Valeda; the father of her children Lorne; her brothers, Hector (late Aileen) and George (Yolande); and her grandchildren, Isaac Aaron and Chase Read.
She is survived by: her children, Debra Ann Babin (Ron) of Sudbury, Marlene Bedard (Don) of Sudbury, Allan Read (Monique) of Verner and Clayton Read (Yvette) of Manitoba; her siblings, Alfred Chevrette (Diane) of Hanmer, Irene Fielding (late Rod) of Hanmer, Denise Gross of Sudbury and Diane Trinque (Dave) of Ottawa; her grandchildren, Adam Babin (Julie), Lisa Sagle (Scott), Sarah Kavenaugh (Shane), Tony Perfetto (Nicole), Angelo Perfetto (Megan), Adele Paul (India), Anie Cousineau, Kayla Read (Dave) and Demi Miles; and her great grandchildren, Mallory, Ethan, Camden, Lexie, Peter, Harrison, Thomas, Noah, Linnaya, Jacob, Solomon, Israel, Emma, Olivia, Isabella and Lilly. She is also survived by 4 great-great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Cooperative Funeral Home (222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury, ON P3A1W5). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
Donations (by cheque or online) to Diabetes Canada or to the Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia Foundation will be appreciated.
