He was predeceased by: his son David; his daughter-in-law Sharon Kyle (Paul); his grandchildren, David, Rob (Samantha), Ian, Dalton, Denver, Lauren (Connor) and Ward; his great grandchildren, Jack and Jamie; and his parents, Elsie Ghent and Newton Ghent.

He is survived by: his wife Helen; and his children, Margaret (Pat) and Stephen (Sue).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Parkinson's Society of Canada, Sudbury Theatre Centre, or a charity of your choice.

“Bob was 3 years my senior in medicine when we were both residents at Wycliffe College, U. of T. in the 1950s. As a student, Bob was always a mentor to me, as well as a kind friend.
