It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roger Bélanger (Sudbury, Ontario), born in Hammond, Ontario, who passed away on November 18, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mériza Bélanger and Sylvio Bélanger; his former wife Alice; his children, Louise and Alphonse; and his grandson Roger Bélanger (Justine Bélanger-Gorgi).
He is survived by: his wife Jeannine (Lagacé); his children, Maurice (Monique), Suzanne (Fern Benoit), Monique (Mike Paquette), Denise (George Black) and Micheline (Suzanne Lapointe); his grandchildren, Roxanne Bélanger (Jeff Budd), Rémi Bélanger, Martin Benoit (Lana), Louise Goggin (Jamie), Jason Paquette, Trevor Paquette (Julie Lin), Amanda Brouillette (Paul) and Nicole Jerome (Jesse); his great grandchildren, Jonah, Olivia Budd, Sébastien, Nikolas Bélanger, Maya, Katie, Sara Benoit, Leah Benoit (Milo Gaudin), Samuel Goggin, Skyla, Ryker Paquette, Brittany Paquette-Lin, Zachary, Mackenzie Brouillette, Brooke and Joshua Jerome; his sister Aurore Parent of Belle River; his sisters-in-law, Jeannine Kingsley, Rosalie Bélanger and Margaret Kennedy; and his caregiver Jeanne. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to Maison McCulloch Hospice in Sudbury would be greatly appreciated.
